Olav Steijger

Olav Steijger has been an umpire in the Hoofdklasse and in international competition. He worked the first game that ever used the IBAF tie-breaker role, during the 2008 World Junior Championship. He later was an umpire in the first Haarlem Baseball Week game to use the rule (2010) and the first regular-season Hoofdklasse game to use it (2011). His wife Linda Steijger also worked the latter two games as a scorer and was the scorer the first time the rule was used in a game at the Olympics (2008).
