North Korea
North Korea (officially the Democratic People's Republic of Korea) is a country located in East Asia on the northern half of the Korean peninsula. It became independent in 1946 and was one of the two main protagonists in the Korean War that followed soon after.
Contrary to South Korea, baseball is not played in North Korea due to its association with the country's enemies, although some persons who were born before the peninsula's partition in what is now North Korea later became important actors in baseball in South Korea.
