Biographical Information[edit]
Nobutaka Imamura debuted in Nippon Pro Baseball in 2013.
Imamura was a second-round draft pick of the Yomiuri Giants in 2011 NPB draft. He was 3-1 with a 2.63 ERA in the minors in 2012 then had a 10-3, 3.45 record in the minors in 2013. He was 1-1 with a 2.12 ERA in three late-season starts for the big club in 2013. He became the third-youngest Giants lefty to win a start, the other two being over 70 years prior with Tetsuharu Kawakami (1938 and Hiroshi Nakao (1939). He then made relief appearances in games 3 and 4 in the 2013 Japan Series.
