Nivaldo Pérez Cabello

Nivaldo Pérez was named the Serie Nacional Most Valuable Pitcher in 1978-1979 after going 9-0 with a 0.86 ERA, leading the league in both winning percentage and ERA. On March 28, the Villa Clara hurler tossed a no-hitter against the Camagüeyanos. Outside of that season, he was only a .500 pitcher (12-12). Overall, he went 21-12 with a save and a 3.07 ERA in five Cuban seasons.
