Nishi-Nippon Pirates

The Nishi-Nippon Pirates were a Japanese team and an founding member of the Pacific League in 1950. The team was owned by the Nishi-Nippon Shimbun. The team placed sixth and following the season the team merged with the fellow Fukuoka-based Nishitetsu Clippers. The merged team would change its name to the Nishitetsu Lions a month later.
