Biographical Information[edit]
Nikki Boyd played for Canada as a backup outfielder in the 2012 Women's Baseball World Cup. She was 1 for 3 with a walk, hit-by-pitch, four runs and two RBI for the Bronze Medalists. In the 2014 Women's Baseball World Cup, she hit .188/.235/.188 with 4 runs and 2 RBI in six games as Canada's starting center fielder, with 12 putouts and an assist. She scored the game-winner in a comeback extra-inning win against Taiwan, driven in by Stéphanie Savoie. Boyd was 1 for 7 with two runs for the hosts in the 2015 Pan American Games, splitting CF with Jenna Flannigan and backing up Kelsey Lalor in LF. She dazzled on defense, though, with 4 putouts, 3 assists and no errors for the Silver Medalists. She scored the game-winner against Puerto Rico in the bottom of the 6th; In the top of the 7th, she threw out a runner at home to preserve a win.
