Biographical Information[edit]
Nick Zender played in the Brooklyn Dodgers system in 1948 and 1949.
In 1948, he hit .254 with one home run and 45 hits in 59 games between the Cairo Egyptians and Medford Nuggets. In 1949, he hit .255 with four home runs and 60 hits in 72 games for the Ponca City Dodgers. He also played 18 games for the unaffiliated Bisbee-Douglas Copper Kings that year, hitting .262 with a home run. Overall, he hit .255 in 149 games.
He was one of the Zender brothers.
He served in the Korean War.
