Biographical Information[edit]
Infielder Nick Vickerson played in the Texas Rangers system from 2011 to 2014. He was taken by the club in the 20th round of the 2011 amateur draft. The scout was Jeff Wood.
He struggled throughout his professional career, hitting .201/.339/.339 in 45 games his first year and .132/.264/.158 in his second. After another down year in 2013, he performed well with the Hickory Crawdads in 2014, slashing .299/.448/.449 in 51 games, only to hit .149/.320/.223 in 43 games for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans.
Despite hitting .213 for his career, he managed a .362 on-base percentage because he could draw a walk.
