Biographical Information[edit]
Nick Van Thillo is a utility player for the Merksem Greys in the Belgian leagues. His father Carl Van Thillo played for the Belgian national team, as Nick would in 2010.
In the 2008 European Junior qualifier, he hit .500/.625/.529 in 16 at-bats, with seven runs and 2 RBI's, one walk and one strike-out. He played 3 games as catcher, one as shortstop and one in right field.
At the 2009 European Cup, he hit a 0-1 pitch into left centerfield for an RBI single, helping the Greys win 2-1 over the Tenerife Marlins, good enough for a fifth place finish overall. He hit .222/.263/.222 overall in the event.
He has also played for the Belgian national team at the 2009 Open international de Rouen in France in July 2009. Van Thillo hit .200/.400/.467 for Belgium in the 2009 European Junior Championship.
