Biographical Information[edit]

Nick Neugebauer was a highly-regarded young pitcher in the Milwaukee Brewers' organization. One of two high school pitchers taken by the Brewers in the first round of the 1998 amateur draft (the other was J.M. Gold), he often drew comparisons to Kerry Wood. Neugebauer's talented arm was ravaged by a series of injuries that forced him out of baseball by 2004. He appeared in 14 major league games, winning two and losing eight, while striking out 58 hitters in 61 1/3 innings.
