Biographical Information

Catcher Nick Hernandez was drafted eighth overall by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 1978 amateur draft. It was a year of poor draft choices -- none of the number six through 11 picks reached the major leagues. Hernandez played in the minors until 1981, peaking at A-ball. In 668 at-bats, he batted .217/.327/.305 with nine home runs and 65 RBI in 668 at-bats.

His son is Nick Hernandez.
