Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher Nick Ciuffo was selected with the 21st pick in the first round of the 2013 amateur draft by the Tampa Bay Rays and scout Brian Hickman. He signed for a bonus of just under $2 million and made his pro debut for the GCL Rays on July 2nd, going 1-for-3 against the GCL Red Sox. Ciuffo reached the bigs for 19 games between 2018 and 2019, batting .186 with a three-run homer belted off Dylan Bundy as part of a 2-for-2, 4 RBI day against the Baltimore Orioles on September 7, 2018.
