Biographical Information[edit]
Neil MacCarl was a prominent sportswriter. He worked for the London Free Pass for 8 months then was at the Toronto Star from 1949-1992, retiring after the Toronto Blue Jays won the 1992 World Series. He was the founding chairman of the Toronto, ON chapter of the Baseball Writers Association of America. In 1987, he was the first winner of the Jack Graney Award.
