Biographical Information[edit]
Nate Dammann graduated in 2004 from Hamline University with a degree in Secondary Education. He played four years of baseball for the Pipers and also played quarterback on their football team. Prior to joining the Minnesota Twins, Dammann was a substitute teacher in the Edina Public School District.
The Twins named Dammann their bullpen catcher in 2007 and he stayed in that role through 2018. His responsibilities included preparing the field for batting practice, as well as catching pitchers in the bullpen prior to and during games. Dammann served as the Twins Video Coordinator in 2019. In 2020, he was promoted to the major league coaching staff as Quality Control Coach. The Twins switched him to a major league staff assistant role in late June to replace Bill Evers who sat out the season due to COVID-19 concerns. Dammann returned to his Quality Control Coach role in 2021 where he remained in 2025.
