Biographical Information

The son of Mardie Cornejo, pitcher Nate Cornejo was a 17 game loser with the embarrassing Detroit Tigers squad of 2003. His lone full season in parts of four in the Motor City, Nate was 6-17, 4.67 walking 58 and striking out only 46 in 194 2/3 innings. Washing out after a 1-3, 8.42 start in 2004, he retired in 2006 while dealing in the Chicago White Sox system.
