Biographical Information

Naoya Masuda played for Nihon Tsuun Urawa in the industrial leagues after college. Undrafted, he signed with the Hiroshima Carp. The infielder never took the field for them, pinch-running for Shinji Nashida in his Nippon Pro Baseball debut and getting into one other game as a pinch-runner. He had one run and no plate appearances in 1989 and retired the next year.
