Nancy Bea
Nancy Bea Hefley
- Born February 24, 1936 in Los Angeles, CA USA
Biographical Information[edit]
Nancy Bea served as the organist for the Los Angeles Dodgers from 1988 to 2015. She started playing the organ at her local church, and was given the opportunity to play the organ for the California Angels after her close friend, who was their main organist, couldn't make it that day. Impressed by her talent, the Angels offered to let her play full-time and even offered her a contract to do so, but she turned it down because she would feel bad if they fired her friend and replaced her.
In 1988, the Dodgers hired her as their stadium organist. She retired after 27 years with the team in October 2, 2015. She was replaced by Deiter Ruehle following her retirement.
