Biographical Information

Wahid Afridi was a second baseman for the Pakistani national team in the 2023 Asian Championship. The teenager started at second in their opener against champion Japan. He grounded out against Mizuki Kato his first time up and was replaced by Muhammad Taimour Raja later in the game. He was 1-for-9 with a walk, run, RBI and two steals for the event, with 12 chances error-free at 2B. He got his lone hit off Lai-Him Lam of Hong Kong.

He was listed simply by his first name Wahid in game reports, which sometimes got mangled as Na Wahid, the "Na" standing for "not applicable" in the first name section of the team roster, and not representing any real name.
