Biographical Information[edit]
Infielder Muneyoshi Okada played for the Osaka Tigers from the very start of the Japanese Professional Baseball League. He hit .294/.373/.373 in 15 games in the spring 1936 season and .172/.287/.215 in the fall. In '37, he batted .202/.327/.286 in the spring and .241/.333/.285 in the fall. In the spring of 1938, his offensive line was .228/.355/.248 and .180/.388/.200 that fall.
In 1939, Okada had a .234/.378/.303 batting line and he finished his career in 1940 by hitting .267/.320/.378. He hit .223/.343/.281 overall in 269 games. In '40, Muneyoshi was drafted into the Japanese military and he died two years later of diease during World War II.
