Biographical Information

Muneo Nakada was undrafted out of college. He signed with the Chunichi Dragons. He threw two shutout innings in his debut with the big club in 1979. He was charged with three runs in 2 1/3 IP in 1980. Nakada surrendered three runs in 1 2/3 IP in 1982 but won his only career decision. He retired at the end of 1983. He then became a scout for the Dragons, working his way up to scouting director. Nakada was involved in some underhanded scouting when he got Kenichi Nakata for Chunichi; he told other scouts Nakata was his relative, so they backed off from the college prospect.
