Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Moose Woerber played in the minor leagues from 1925 to 1932. In his second campaign, with the Dallas Steers, he hit .331 with 25 home runs and 35 doubles in 138 games. A few years later, with the Dubuque Tigers in 1929, he hit .402 with 18 doubles, 14 triples and 101 hits in 69 games (he had hit 17 triples the year before). In 1930, Woerber batted .355 with 10 home runs, 36 doubles and 12 triples in 125 games for Dubuque. He also served as manager for part of the year, replacing Dick Manchester. He had a 13-triple season in 1931.
