Monaco
Monaco is a tiny independent principality located on the Mediterranean Sea and entirely surrounded by France, near its border with Italy. It is very active in sports circles, mainly by hosting one of the most prestigious automobile races in the world, the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix, and a top-ranked football (soccer) team, the AS Monaco. Prince Albert, the principality's ruler, is the grandson of Olympic rowing gold medalist John Kelly and a former Olympic bobsledder himself as well a member of the International Olympic Committee. However, the country has few known baseball connections.
Paul Gallico died here.
