Biographical Information

Pitcher Mitch Coplon grew up in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area. In his junior year at Oklahoma State University, he was 11-1 and led the team in wins and ERA (2.91), and the next year, he went 10-4 and played in the 1981 College World Series. He was selected by the Houston Astros in the 18th round of the 1981 amateur draft and played two years in their organization.
