Biographical Information[edit]
Mitch Chetkovich pitched four games in the majors without giving up an earned run. The 1945 Philadelphia Phillies were a group of sad sacks, losing 108 games even with a war on, and none of the starting pitchers came close to a winning record. Mitch's appearances were all in relief, and in three of the four appearances he finished the game. He pitched for Quebec in 1942 and in the Pacific Coast League in 1945.
