Biographical Information[edit]
Mitch Albom has been a sportswriter and broadcaster. He worked for the Fort Lauderdale News and Fort Lauderdale Sun Sentinel before joining the Detroit Free Press in 1985. He won the Red Smith Award in 2010. He is the author of several non-baseball bestsellers.
His 2006 novel For One More Day has a baseball theme, as it depicts Chick Benetto, a former cup of coffee major league player.
