Biographical Information[edit]
Ming-Chuan Chuang played and won a Gold Glove in the TML.
Chuang represented Taiwan in the 1991 Junior World Championship. The Taipei Gida signed Chuang when they were founded in 1997. Chuang hit .212/.271/.255 in his rookie year, and declined to .204/.256/.226 in 1998. He lost the starting spot after this season, and only got 58, 82 and 112 at-bats respectively the next three years. The Taipei native finally took back starting third baseman spot in 2002. Although his batting was still weak, he still won the Gold Glove award as a third baseman. When the two leagues merged in 2003, no team wants to sign Chuang, and his professional career ended.
Overall, Chuang had hit .212/.272/.248 in six seasons in the TML.
