Mineros (Series Selectivas)
The Mineros played seven seasons in the Series Selectivas. They debuted in 1986, finishing last at 22-41. They tied for 6th in the 8-team league in 1987 at 25-38. The upward trend continued as they posted a 27-35 record to move up to fifth in 1988.
The Mineros were 27-36 in 1989 for a 6th-place finish. In 1990, the club was 25-38 to finish 5th; Ermidelio Urrutia led the league with 24 doubles. During the 1991 campaign, the team was 6th at 28-35. They finished up in 1992 with a last-place, 24-39 record.
They never had a league leader in any of the Triple Crown categories on either the batting or pitching fronts and they never had a winning record.
