Biographical Information[edit]

Outfielder Milt Joffe played in the minor leagues from 1947 to 1956. He briefly reached Triple-A twice, but never ascended to the major leagues.

Though he reached double-digit home runs three times and triples twice, perhaps his best campaign was 1948, when he hit .248 with 135 hits, 8 home runs and 27 doubles in 131 games between the Billings Mustangs and Hollywood Stars.

He was taken by the Jersey City Giants in the Triple-A round of the 1950 Rule V Draft, though the team had moved to Ottawa in 1951 when he played for them.

He served in the United States Navy during World War II. After his baseball career ended, he was a firefighter and fire inspector.
