Biographical Information[edit]
Mike Silva played in the independent leagues then was a college coach and scout.
Silva hit .242/.313/.303 for the 2003 Pensacola Pelicans then split 2004 between Pensacola (2 for 20, 2B, 2 BB) and the Richmond Roosters (.276/.339/.340 in 52 G). He was a catcher. He was assistant coach at Clarendon College (2003-2005), Bethany College (2006) and Clarendon College again then was head coach at Clarendon from 2009-2011. He was head coach at Galveston College in '12. He was assistant at Texas State University from 2013-2016 then spent a year as an area scout for the San Diego Padres. He was pitching coach for University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2017-2018 and Louisiana Tech from 2019-2021 before getting another head coaching role, this one at Nicholls State University. He was only there until the 2025 season, when he moved to Arkansas State University.
