Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Mike Schultz reportedly signed a contract with the Sanford Giants in July 1948 [1], but did not appear in a game for the team. He then pitched in the Southern Minnesota League in 1949. Schultz played in the New York Yankees system in 1950 and from 1953 to 1955. Though he won 10 games his first campaign, his best season was likely 1953, when he went 12-7 with a 2.73 ERA in 29 games (20 starts) for the Binghamton Triplets. Overall, he went 30-31 in 107 games.
In 1956, he played in the independent Manitoba-Dakota League.
He served in the Korean War.
