Biographical Information[edit]
Mike Grzanich pitched one game in the majors wit the Houston Astros in 1998. He was in the minors for nine seasons, mostly in the Astros organization. He went 11-7 for the Quad Cities River Bandits in 1994 and had 12 saves for the Jackson Generals in 1997.
Later in his career he was in the Detroit Tigers organization, where he suffered a couple of injuries that shortened his time in professional baseball.
As of 2006 he was pitching coach at Hinds Community College in Jackson, MS.
In an interesting article [1] in 2006, Grzanich was alerted to the fact that his major league jersey was for sale online, and he bought it. He felt it was genuine because of sweat stains that Mike remembered making.
