Biographical Information[edit]

Second baseman Mike Goliat was a "Whiz Kid", playing his only season with 100+ games for the pennant-winning 1950 Philadelphia Phillies.

Goliat was in the majors from 1949 to 1952 with a low batting average but making up for it to some extent with an ability to draw walks.

His minor league career ran from 1947 to 1961 with ten years in the International League. In the minors he had some power with close to 200 minor league home runs.
