Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Mike Dimmel appeared in 39 major league games. He was primarily a pinch-runner and defensive back-up for the Baltimore Orioles at a time when Ken Singleton was at the peak of his offensive abilities. After two years in Baltimore, he was traded to the St. Louis Cardinals for Benny Ayala.
In the minors he was a teammate of future Washington Nationals manager Jim Riggleman. In 1975 he played for Waterbury. In 1980 he played for Arkansas. He also played in Mexico.
After baseball, he became an investment advisor. As of 2003, he lived in Dallas, TX.
