Biographical Information[edit]
Mike Deane was a second baseman and basketball player in college, setting Potsdam State records for points (1,447), assists (805) and pints per game (18.0). He was twice a Small College All-American. In 1976, he was head baseball coach of the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, right before they dropped that sport. He later was a long-time basketball coach, guiding three different schools to the NCAA Tournament.
