Biographical Information

Starting pitcher Mike Augliera has played in the Boston Red Sox minor league system since 2012 (through 2014). He was taken by the club in the 5th round of the 2012 amateur draft and was signed by scout Ray Fagnant for a bonus of $25,000.

He played for the Lowell Spinners in 2012, going 1-3 with a 4.42 ERA in 15 games (14 starts), while averaging more than a strikeout per inning. In 2013, he was 9-6 with a 4.23 ERA in 26 starts for the Salem Red Sox. He began 2014 with the Double-A Portland Sea Dogs.
