Mijaín Rivera has been an outfielder for the Pinar del Río Tobacco Growers. He hit .232/.304/.387 in 2007-2008, his third season in the Cuban Serie Nacional, to lift his career average to .225. He batted .284/.398/.421 in 2008-2009 and went 12 for 57 with three doubles and four walks the next season. Becoming the starter in right field, he produced at a .318/.418/.551 rate with 15 home runs and 56 RBI in 85 games in 2010-2011.
