Miguel Villalta was the first second baseman in Salvadoran national team history. In the 1930 Central American Games opener, he was 0 for 2 in a loss to Panama and had 3 putouts, 2 assists and 3 errors. Alfredo Lara replaced him for game 2 then San Salvador had to withdraw when their only catcher got injured. He tied Luis Romero for the most errors at 2B in the Games.
