Biographical Information

Miguel Del Pozo pitched 17 games in relief for the Los Angeles Angels in 2019 with an ERA of 10.61. At the time 26 years old, he had been pitching in the minors since age 18 in 2011. He had a particularly good year in 2017, when he posted an ERA of 0.70, split among four minor league teams. In 2020, he moved to the Pittsburgh Pirates as a free agent, but was hit very hard, surrendering 7 hits and 8 walks in just 3 2/3 innings, leading to an ERA of 17.18 in 5 games.

He had Tommy John surgery and recovered in 2016-2017, coming back in June 2017. In 2018 he had a muscle strain in his chest and started the season on the disabled list.
