Biographical Information[edit]

Mickey Sullivan was an All-American outfielder for Baylor University in 1953 and 1954. As a senior he set a Southwest Conference record by hitting .521 in 1954. He then signed with the New York Giants and spent 1954-1957 in their system.

Sullivan was assistant baseball coach at Bellaire High School (1960-1961) and Westbury High School (1962-1965) in Houston, TX. He moved back to Bellaire as head coach from 1966-1968. He was then an assistant football coach at Baylor University from 1969-1972.

Sullivan was the head coach at Baylor from 1974 to 1994, leading the Bears to the College World Series in 1977 and 1978
