Biographical Information[edit]

Michael Rider is a former professional baseball player who pitched 2 seasons at the Rookie league level.

He was a 37th-round draft pick by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the 2001 amateur draft, but did not sign. After two years at Cosumnes River College in Sacramento, CA, he was redrafted by the Toronto Blue Jays as a 49th-round pick in 2003. He played for the Pulaski Blue Jays of the Appalachian League in 2003 and 2004, going 6-2 with four saves and a 6.71 ERA.
