Biographical Information[edit]

Michael Frederick played in the Chicago Cubs system from 1946 to 1949, appearing in only 45 games above D-level. He hit .274 with 365 hits, 60 doubles, eight triples, no home runs and a .331 slugging percentage in 351 games.

He managed the Janesville Cubs for part of the 1949 season, replacing Jim Oglesby and being replaced by Adolph Matulis.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1945.
