Biographical Information[edit]
Michael Cody played for twelve different minor league clubs during an eight-year career that lasted from 1885 to 1893 primarily as a catcher and outfielder. The only team he even played with in multiple years was the Tacoma Daisies which he played for during the entire 1891 season, appearing in at least 92 games for them that year, and for part of the 1892 season, appearing in the action in at least 56 games before joining the Missoula club of the Montana State League whom he finished the season with.
He appeared in the Goodwin & Company's "Old Judge" baseball card set in 1889, which featured at least four different pictures of him in different poses while wearing a Des Moines Prohibitionists' uniform. He also briefly managed the Youngstown Giants in 1890.
