Biographical Information[edit]
Michael Close pitched two seasons for the Brighton Buccaneers. In 2003, he was 3-2 with a 2.21 ERA and 50 K in 40 2/3 IP, leading the league in K/IP. He hit .236/.344/.364. He fell to 0-1, 12.60 in 2004. [1] He also played for the British national team in the 2003 European Championship, going 0-for-5 and allowing three hits, a walk and two runs in one inning. [2]
