Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Maxine Kline played in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League with the Fort Wayne Daisies from 1948 to 1954. On June 12, 1949, she threw a no-hitter, and she ended the season with a 14-11 record. The next year, she was 23-9, and in 1951, she went 18-4. In 1952, she threw 6 shutouts en route to a 19-7 mark. After going 16-14 in 1953, she led the league with 18 wins the next year and hurled a second no-hitter. Overall, she posted a 116-65 record and a 2.34 ERA in 196 games and was an All-Star four times.
