Maxime Leblanc has been part of the French national team for several years.

Leblanc pitched for France in the 1997 European Championship and 1997 Intercontinental Cup (0-0, 4.70 in a 5-4 loss to Italy). In the 1999 European Championship, Maxime was 0-1 with a 6.00 ERA and walked four in 3 innings. During the 2001 European Championship, the right-hander was 2-0 with a 2.25 ERA.

Leblanc had a 7.71 ERA for France in the 2001 Baseball World Cup (around average for the 0-7 team). In the 2002 World University Championship, Leblanc was 0-2 with a 9.00 ERA; he allowed 17 hits and struck out only one in 11 innings. He did a little better (7.20 ERA) in the 2003 Baseball World Cup, when France again was 0-7 and had a staff ERA of 12.21; Leblanc had the third-lowest ERA on the team. In the 2003 European Championship, Leblanc allowed 11 hits and 6 runs (2 earned) in 6 2/3 innings in going 0-1.

Leblanc pitched in the Netherlands in 2002, going 1-2 with a save for the Amsterdam Pirates.

He was 0-2 with a save and a 3.68 ERA in the 2005 European Championship. In the 2007 European Championship, he went 1-0 with a 5.40 ERA, beating the Ukraine but offering little relief in a loss to Germany. In the 2007 Division Elite, Maxime was 4-6 with a 3.18 ERA for the Tigers de Toulouse.
