Biographical Information[edit]
Max Eller was at Wake Forest when the team represented the USA in baseball at the 1951 Pan American Games. The US won the Silver Medal. That summer, he pitched for the Rocky Mount Leafs (5-5, 3.48) and Raleigh Capitals (5-6, 5.44). He had a 9-11, 3.17 record for Raleigh in '52 and hit .204/.259/.259. He later became a minister and served 30 years as a Navy chaplain.
