Matt Senk

Matt Senk is a college coach.

Senk was a catcher for Cortland State in college, twice making All-Conference. He was head coach at St. Agnes Cathedral High School and Kellenberg Memorial High School. He became head coach at Stony Brook University in 1991.

In 1999, Senk set a Stony Brook record for 36 wins in the school's last year in NCAA Division II before advancing to NCAA Division I. Matt's 2000 club led Division I in average (.347) and slugging (.580) and being second in homers per game (1.78). They had a fine Division I debut at 30-11. They were 35-16 in 2001.

Senk's club was 33-21 in 2003 and won the America East Conference title in '04 and again in 2008, when they won 34 games.

Senk won 470 games in his first 18 years at Stony Brook. He helped develop All-Star reliever Joe Nathan.
