Biographical Information[edit]
Matt Peacock was the first pitcher since Marino Pieretti in 1945 to win the game and collect a base hit in extra innings during his major league debut. He did so in a 10-8 win by the Arizona Diamondbacks over the Colorado Rockies on April 6, 2021. In spite of the tiebreaker rule, the game went 13 innings.
