Biographical Information[edit]

Matt McGuire was a college coach.

An infielder in college, he became a coach with William Byrd High School (2004-2006). He then was assistant at Virginia Military Institute (2007), Tennessee Wesleyan College (2008), Ferrum College (2009-2011) and Randolph-Macon College (2012). He was head coach of Roanoke College from 2013-2020. He set a school record for wins in 2013 (18), had their first winning season in 2015 (17-15) and set another win record in 2016 (23-17). He won 35 games in '17 and the team won two games in the 2017 Division III College World Series. He left after the 2020 season for a job in sales.
