Biographical Information

Pitcher Matt Kaercher played one season of pro ball in the Boston Red Sox organization. He began the 2003 season with the GCL Red Sox and was 0-1 with a 2.70 ERA in 6 games there. He was then promoted to the AA Portland Sea Dogs, where he gave up 3 hits and an earned run without recording an out in his only appearance. He ended the year with the Sarasota Red Sox, for whom he was 0-2 with a 3.38 ERA in 8 outings.
